This piece uses satire to expose the cost of authority when it goes unquestioned. Inspired by familiar candy packaging, the front design shows that authoritarianism is anything but sweet and points out what is hidden when harm is made palatable. The “Contains” panel does not list ingredients, but consequences.
On the back of the tote is a growing list of names: individuals who have lost their lives in connection with ICE from 2025 to the present. These names are not statistics: they are people. The list reflects documented cases and stands in for the many lives that may never be fully recorded.

Care instructions
